The Adobe Digital Index has just released their online sales estimates for the Thanksgiving holiday shopping weekend, typically the most active shopping period in the U.S. – encompassing Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday. Total overall online sales grew 20% to USD 7 billion dollars with the bulk of online sales occurring on Cyber Monday ($2.6B) and Black Friday ($2.4B). With Singles Day sales reaching USD $9.3 billion this year, it would now take the transaction volume of over 3.5 Cyber Mondays to equal Tmall’s performance on November 11th this year.
