What’s a cookie clicker game? If you’ve never heard of the genre, think of its latest, most successful adopter: Bitcoin Billionaire. The cookie clicker game, first popularized by the spoof Facebook game Cow Clicker, involves the player doing one simple action (clicking or tapping, depending on your platform of choice) and slowly accumulating more and more wealth.
In Bitcoin Billionaire, tapping the screen gets you more bitcoins. In Cookie Clicker, you earn cookies. And in Toge Productions’ latest game, Must-a-Mine, where you click to mine deeper and deeper into the earth’s crust, you get gold.

Must-a-Mine is the Indonesian indie studio’s newest game, and features cute, mustacheod workers called Mustachios whose aim is to dig all the way to the earth’s core. Of course, like all other games in the same genre, there’s a lot of clicking and waiting involved. Presently only available on browsers, Must-a-Mine allows you to unlock and upgrade units that help you mine deeper.
Frankly, it’s not a game for the impatient, and I find it easiest to simply keep it running in the background while you go about your day. You can save your progress both locally and to the cloud, so you can theoretically play anywhere.
Kris Antoni, CEO and co-founder of Toge Productions, says that the team hopes to have Must-a-Mine ported to mobile next year, possibly as soon as January.
