1. Page365 | Thailand


Thailand’s Page365 provides a solution for sellers to set up an online store on Facebook. It works by providing a dashboard (pictured below) for Facebook sellers that separates out text into things like inquiries, orders, and complaints. Merchants pay a subscription to use it. This week the startup has secured seed funding from Inspire Ventures and Galaxy Ventures.



2. Blacklane | China


Online chauffeur-booking service Blacklane recently-announced a partnership with the country’s largest travel search engine: Baidu-owned Qunar. Chinese travelers can now hire a professionally-driven car, van, or SUV directly through the Qunar portal, which the company says attracts nearly 45 million monthly visitors.



3. Inkl | Australia


Australia’s Inkl is a mobile platform that curates content from major news outlets and provides it all in one place, like a ‘Spotify’ for journalism. The service is available to access via the website on any mobile device, with an iOS and Android app on the way.



4. Japanese Info | Japan


Users to Japanese Info will get to embrace a more genuine, less touristy side of Japan by receiving tips on the best restaurants and attractions recommended by locals in English. For now the tips on Japanese Info are offered only by his staff, but they are showing a strong knack for good topics.



5. JakPat | Indonesia


JakPat is a mobile app that lets companies survey a pool of segmented Indonesians and view their responses in real time, making the process of gathering consumer insights more efficient and accessible for those with low budgets. The service’s cheapest option starts at US$50 for polling 100 respondents with five questions.



6. Peekawoo | Philippines


Peekawoo is a dating app which swims defiantly against a tide of popular dating apps for straight people like Tinder and Skout, which are mostly about hookups. Instead, it caters to young women who still want to take a traditional but fun approach to dating.



7. Aftershock | Singapore


Founded in 2011, Aftershock PC is a custom gaming laptop hardware startup from Singapore. Beginning in a small shophouse, it has now moved into a larger premise that boasts both an assembly line and retail shopfront. The startup has now officially launched in Malaysia.



8. MyISBN | Japan


MyISBN allows anyone to self-publish a real book and sell it on Amazon Japan, all without the minimum order requirement enforced by traditional publishing distributors that act as middlemen. The startup charges authors a flat rate for its services



9. WiWide | China


WiWide, is a Chinese startup that provides public wifi networks to stores and restaurants. It offers an end-to-end solution, meaning it provides the routers and other hardware, network architecture, professional installation, and a dashboard application for businesses to keep track of connected customers. The startup received a series C funding round from Tencent and Dianping.



10. PlazaKamera | Indonesia


Indonesian ecommerce site PlazaKamera features everything related to cameras, including studio flashes, tripods, selfie sticks, and GoPros, but not the cameras themselves. According to the founder, the site occupies an extremely specialized niche where dedicated hobbyists are brand-loyal and willing to spend on a regular basis.



11. Yamap | Japan


Yamap is a GPS-powered social trekking app which allowers users to connect with other hikers to get tips on hiking various trails. Users have also met online and then gone hiking together in real life.



12. WattSmart | Philippines


WattSmart allows you to determine how much power is consumed by your appliances to help you budget your electricity costs. WattSmart sensors are attached to the wires connected to your circuit breaker. These sensors determine how much electricity each of your appliances uses, and this information is transmitted to WattSmart via wifi or SMS, whichever is available. You can access the information from WattSmart’s website through your account.



13. Travly | Pakistan


Launched in May, Travly allows people to find the nearest available bus station, input a destination, and get suggested routes. The app also shows the exact schedule of the buses and includes a calculation of the trip’s cost. The startup comes from 404 Solutions, which was part of third incubation cycle of Pakistan’s Plan 9 incubator.
