Ruder Finn and IPSOS have just released the 2015 edition of their annual China Luxury Forecast, analyzing trends based on a survey of 1,933 luxury consumers in China and Hong Kong. Overall, travel emerged as a major area of emphasis for mainland Chinese luxury consumers with 50% of those surveyed signaling their intent to spend more on the category in the coming year. And while recent statistics have shown China travelers spending more on experiences like dining and entertainment when abroad, shopping still takes up the lion’s share of resources with the top three travel activities among Chinese tourists surveyed dedicated to purchasing products to bring back home. [Ruder Finn via Digitown]
