This infographic from Accor Hotels aggregates survey results for social media usage among 6,500 travelers from 13 countries across Asia Pacific. While Facebook and WhatsApp remain most popular among tourists to APAC, WeChat continues to see a steady rise usage for the region, growing 13% in popularity compared to the same survey conducted last year. As China outbound tourists continue their march across the region, travel marketers in APAC would be smart to establish brand accounts on WeChat to cater to a group that will spend $155 billion overseas this year.
