Another chart from Geometry Global’s 2014 Connect Shopper white paper captures the rapid embrace of ecommerce by China’s increasingly sophisticated consumers. Whereas 59% of global shoppers make 1-3 purchases online each month, China is the worldwide leader with netizens buying online 5.88 times per month on average. The second most ecommerce-friendly nation was India at 3.79 purchases per month, while developed markets like the United States (2.60) and Japan (2.66) averaged less than three online buys monthly.
