The new Audition game for Southeast Asia, World in Audition, has been launched in open beta by its publisher, Asiasoft. This follows a closed beta test that ended on October 27.
Asiasoft says that most new game features are already available in World in Audition. The game will be continuously updated, with new missions released via patches and shopping malls and song lists receiving regular updates.
World in Audition features slightly more mainstream English songs compared to its predecessor, AuditionSEA. Among the K-pop and anime OSTs available, you’ll also be able to rock out to songs like Calvin Harris’ “Blame” and Maroon 5’s “Animals”.
Although AuditionSEA currently boasts an online community of 345,000 gathered on Facebook, Asiasoft says that it has not set a user acquisition target for World in Audition, but hopes to acquire as many players as possible.
AuditionSEA has been one of Asiasoft’s strongest titles over the years, sharing the podium with the wildly-popular MapleSEA and Ragnarok Online. The company also recently started exploring the mobile games market, albeit without much success.
